The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) published the list of applications for new internet address endings yesterday, including .ferrari and .ninja.
Jonathan Robinson, shown in the video clip at 00:38 holding the “.web” notice, is hugely experienced in the domain name business and one of our investors.
We worked closely with him at IPRota in protecting trademarks from over 100 countries around the world under one of the domain name sunrises last year, where he used Sazneo to coordinate all internal team communication. We spoke with Jonathan and he explained:
“The trademark validation process needed to be carried out fast and on a high-volume of names but we needed to handle subtle and complex issues, so the IPRota team needed to collaborate efficiently and in real-time. Email just wasn’t going to work, so we rolled out Sazneo to the team in one afternoon and it immediately proved a success. Internal email stopped altogether meaning the team could focus on the job in hand.”
Congratulations on getting your face on TV Jonathan. Next time, don’t forget to wear your Sazneo t-shirt!
